As part of moves to keep their customers abreast of their services and promotions, Afrimoney on Thursday 15 September 2022 launched their LELEMU song at Afriradio in Wilberforce.
It would be recalled that earlier last month, Afrimoney released an advert informing the public about their various offers with the slogan ‘LELEMU,’ which lures the attention of all and sundry.
Thereafter, the ‘LELEMU’ word has now become the new slang commonly used by people in Sierra Leone.
According to the initiator of the ‘LELEMU’ word, Mr Tamba Bee, the aforementioned slogan could be utilised in many ways based on the circumstance it is used. Tamba Bee said the LELEMU chant would soon be followed by another catchphrase just to put smile on the faces of Africell/Afrimoney subscribers.
Speaking during the launching ceremony, Africell’s Media Director John Konteh said they decided to launch the LELEMU song in response to the various questions members of the public had been asking about the meaning of ‘LELEMU’.
The essence of the song, Mr Konteh says, is to see how best people can vibe to the song and be informed about the various Afrimoney offers by dialing *161# on any Africell number.
Mr Konteh said further that after launching of the LELEMU song – which was done by housemates Eddie of 441 Fame, Karafilo and M’posh – “the public has been ‘vibing’ to the song”.
The ‘LELEMU’ song is now making its way in night clubs, pubs, restaurants, radio stations and even on various media platforms, Mr Konteh says, adding that on Friday 16 September 2022, Afrimoney will have a massive float parade within the Western Urban and Rural Areas with the motive of spreading the love messages and goodies to the people of Sierra Leone.
“We will be spreading the love messages across the country,” he affirmed, craving on the indulgence of all and sundry to be part of the Africell/Afrimoney family.
He added: “With Afrimoney lots of goodies are installed for the people of Sierra Leone.
Concluding, he says the satisfaction of subscribers is Africell’s “utmost desire”.
