Sheik Tejan Rogers is a self-styled, self-acclaimed whistle-blower who has made a series of allegations on social media against respectable persons in society and the leadership of the Milton Margai Technical University.
For over months now, this young man has been sharing defamatory statements with character assassination undertones for a selfish interest/ reason.
He has been calling on the authorities to investigate the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of Milton Margai Technical University but has on many occasions refused to make himself available to produce the evidence he claimed to have to substantiate his assertions.
It’s interesting that a whistle-blower as he claimed, can become a ghost when we well know that whistle-blowers are highly protected.
He is a final-year law student at the Fourah Bay College and also a lecturer in the Social sciences faculty, at Milton Margai Technical University, the institution he is always castigating.
I hope Sheik Tejan Rogers knows that if following an investigation, an employer notice that the whistleblowing was deliberately false or made in bad faith (e.g. out of spite or for personal gain) they could decide to take disciplinary action against the employee. We are waiting to hear from the many committees that are currently investigating the claims of Shiek Tejan Rogers with the students’ abusers (Emmanuel Anthony, Vandi Gamanga (Uncle of Emmanuel Anthony) sent to the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education.
About three committees according to our findings are currently investigating the allegations. Hope Shiek Tejan Rogers will make himself available to all those communities to produce his claims, particularly his 25% allowance increment made for MMTU which the administration is refusing to pay.
Shiek Tejan Rogers come forward with your evidence the public will surely celebrate you, but if it turns out to be a false alarm, you should be ready to pay for your recklessness.
As one of the Maxims of equity states that “He who seeks equity must come to the court with clean hands,” as he claims to be a law student ought to know better, the maxim tells us that equitable rights are based on the principles of justice/honesty and morality so the person demanding equitable right must himself be fair and honest to avail an equitable remedy.
Having this in mind, Sheik Tejan Rogers has refused to submit the comprehensive exam grades of the student he is lecturing which has affected their progress.
Such an act by a lecturer refusing to submit grades for students is a hideous criminal offense, and he must be aware that he is committing a crime and he can be held liable for any discrepancy thereof.
The writer will bring you updates on this issue and also on the life of Shiek Tejan Rogers life as a part-time lecturer and later full-time and Warden of Students, his involvement with a female student who is languishing with a baby the self-styled, self-acclaimed whistleblower made her pregnant while in MMCET.
Maybe that is why he is fighting for the female students’ abusers.
