Bhantal Football Club has started their second leg campaign in the Sierra Leone Premier League with a victory against East End Lions. After the end of the first leg of the Sierra Leone Premier League, Bhantal FC were in a good preparations for the second leg of the competition and the opened their second leg with a victory against East End Lions FC.
The second leg started with a lot of enthusiasm between Bhantal FC and East End Lions FC at the SLFA football field in Kingtom were Bhantal FC defeated East End Lions by two goals to one.
In what can only be described as a highly anticipated return of the Sierra Leone Premier League action, Bhanhal FC secured a crucial but very important 2-1 victory over East End Lions FC one of the top teams in the league on Friday 15th March 2024. The atmosphere was overwhelming, and the fans were treated to a spectacle of intense moments and thrilling plays as both teams fought hard to gain an edge.
The both teams showcase their defensive prowess at the beginning of the match were the match ended goalless in the first half of play. In the second half of play both teams created a lot of chances but East End Lions got the breakthrough in the 60th minutes of play a goal scored by Sulaiman S. Kargbo.
Bhantal FC never relents and they keep pressing until they got a penalty in the 78th minutes which were converted from the spot by Mohamed Bangura. Bhantal FC got a late winner in the toppish-time of play a goal scored by Mohamed A. Kamara. This particular victory has made Bhantal FC to move in the second position with 34 points and they’re three points behind the league Leaders Bo Rangers.
