TO: THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, ALL PEOPLES CONGRESS PARTY (APC).

FROM: AGGRIEVE MEMBERS AND EXECUTIVES, ALL PEOPLES CONGRESS PARTY (APC), KONO DISTRICT.

DATE: 19TH AUGUST, 2024.

Qcell Qcell Qcell

Dear Sir,

COMPLAIN AGAINST THE ACTING DISTRICT CAHIRMAN (SAHR MATTIA) AND SOME OF HIS EXECUTIVES; MEMBERS INCLUDING THE SEATTING MEMBER OF PALIAMENT (FINDA LUCINDA KELLIE) FOR UNDERMINING THE VERIIFICATION AND REGISTRATION EXCRISES OF OUR BELOVED PARTY IN KONO DISTRICT

We are directed by the above mentioned membership of the party present during the launching ceremony of the said membership acquisition processes dated 18th August 2024, at the party office Koidu City.

The above executives including the regional, district, constituencies and wards members are disgusted with some of the district executives on the following grounds;

Firstly, threatening to disenfranchise members whom they see as threats to their positions. And the issue of persons with bank slips and ITGC subscription forms were not also captured in their presentation

Secondly, misinformed members that, the district Public Relation Officer (PRO) is charged with the authority to approve or disapprove membership status, thus taking the responsibility of the national secretary general.

Thirdly, categorically disqualified those persons who want to leave other party to join the All Peoples Congress Party (APC), that they are advised in their own interest to stay in their party. And there is a huge discontent and split amongst the district, constituencies and wards executives of the All Peoples Congress Party (APC) of Kono District.

Furthermore, the district executive holds grudges, malice, and hatred, against certain persons on no legal grounds will affect the party’s activities. The date for the commencement of the district membership verification and registration and no question was entertained from the general membership during the launching ceremony, these led to chaos during the meeting and thus brought to a disgraceful and unsuccessful end with no message, rather than the use of threat discrimination and disenfranchisement of would be members.

Sir, the district executive poorly handled the fist stage of the membership verification and registration processes, with this we need PEACE BEFORE MEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION AND REGISTRATION AND CLEARIFICATION ON THE DUE PROCESSES AND RESPONSIBLE PERSONS FOR THE SAID MEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESSES.

However, if our party is to make progress in Kono District, there is the need for the integration of other competent persons within the district who are members of the party in order to allow free fair credible and transparent membership verification and registration processes.

Again, the district public relation officer needs proper orientation and training properly before going on the media to represent the party. A Political party which wants to form government should be polite and gentle in handling matters of its members. If these issues are not properly handled, would inflict unforeseen injuries to the party’s victory come 2028.

We hope these issues will be addressed immediately, before the commencement of the membership verification and registration excises by this group of avengers.

Finally, we respectfully demand that, the issues mentioned above be addressed within seventy two (72) hours or you take responsibility for its outcomes.

Faithfully yours,

Ahdraman Sourie Conteh, Regional Treasurer, East.
