The National Cyber Security Coordination Center (NC3) conducted a cyber security training session for the Ministry of Tourism and Cul22nd Augustairs staff at the Ministry’s conference hall. The session, themed “Aiding the Protection of Civil Servants in the Digital Realm,” was held on the Ministry’s premises.
The session, led by NC3’s Director of Ecosystem and Capability, Mr. Victor A. Sesay, focused on safeguarding sensitive government information in a digital age. Mr. Sesay emphasized the rising threat of cybercrime and outlined NC3’s role in combating these threats under the Cyber Security Act of 2021. He also highlighted the need for civil servants to adopt strong cyber hygiene practices to protect against hacking and data breaches.
The training also addressed practical measures for preventing cyber threats, including secure handling of electronic devices and cautious use of digital communication tools.
The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Nabeela Farida Tunis, closed the session by thanking the NC3 team and reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing cyber security measures.
