The Regional Operations Officer East, Brima Bangura has informed journalist that a Forty two (42) year old woman has committed a suicide at her resident. According to Brima, on Sunday 21th January 2024, the local unit commander at waterloo division received information that one Mary Oni Kamara committed suicide at her resident at Devil hole, Freetown.
He stated that upon receiving this information a team of police officers visited the scene and upon their arrival discovered a liquid substance suspected to be soap which was found in front of her bedroom while lying on her bed dead.
He added that remains have been conveyed to the Connaught hospital for post-mortem examination whiles investigation in progress.
In other development, Brima says that four people in police custody for lawfully found five short and with various military camouflage with lawful authorities, adding the matter has been transferred to CID Headquarter for further investigation.
