One of the leading aspirants for the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Ibrahim Bangura last Friday 17 October participated in the civic laying-out ceremony for the late Comrade Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma. Hon Kooma was a former APC Member of Parliament representing Kambia District. The event took place at the Sierra Leone Parliament Building, Tower Hill, Freetown.
Comrade Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma was a dedicated patriot and loyal servant of the APC. Colleagues, party members, family, and national dignitaries gathered to honour him and pay their final respects. His legacy of service, discipline, and unwavering commitment to democratic ideals was remembered with great reverence and gratitude.
While signing the book of condolence, Dr. Bangura expressed his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and the wider APC community.
In a statement to DIB Media Consortium shortly after signing the book of condolence, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura remarked, “In this moment of grief, we draw strength from Comrade Ernest Dura Koroma’s legacy. Let us heal from our losses, unite across generations, and build a future worthy of his sacrifice.”
The late comrade Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma is survived by his wife and six children.
