The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in their Press Released on Wednesday 8th March 2023 stated that through investigation, they noticed that the president of the EAP Motherland City Company had criminal antecedents in Ghana, Nigeria and Dubai using the various names; Alexander Moses in Ghana, Edward Alex Philips in Sierra Leone, Alex Olubode Philips also in Sierra Leone, Olufunmilade Adeyemi Nigeria and Aladura Moses in Dubai.
The released also stated that ACC partnered with the Central Intelligence and Security Agency (CISA), Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to conduct an investigation into criminal allegation against the President of the EAP group of companies.
According to the release, the company had marketed the sale of affordable homes to members of the public, which would be available for ownership after they have commenced and continued payments of various sums.
ACC revealed that the company has received payment of deposits for homes in a scheme called, ’’Motherland City’’ in York village, in the Western Rural District, and that the company had criminal antecedents in Ghana and Nigeria.
The ACC therefore informs and advised member of the public to suspend any dealings with the company, ‘’Motherland City’’ pending furthered investigation, and encouraged any information or claims against the company to inform the ACC.
The released also further that details are withheld for now pending full investigation in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Criminal Commission (EFFCC) in Nigeria, who have filed an official request with the ACC to release the suspect to them for trial.
