The family of the former Director of Communications at State House Communication Unit, under former president Ernest Bai Koroma, Mr Jarrah Kawusu-Konte were last Thursday night brought under gun points by unidentified armed ruling SLPP party operatives at their Regent resident in Mountain Rural district.
Mr Kawusu-Konte and his wife Mrs Olive Kawusu-Konte were threatened by armed unidentified assailants belong to the pro-SLPP “soja” team of marshal group and carted away with property worth millions of United States Dollars.
The SLPP operatives cleared everything they laid hands on in the house including their personal laptop computers and mobile phones among so many other valuables worth millions and threatened to kill them if they attempt to resist their assailants.
Neighbourhood sources told this media that assailants were not armed rubber criminals but ruling party operatives from the Regent village and its surrounding who had been monitoring the movements and resident of Mr Kawusu-Konte.
It could be recalled the since the SLPP government took up office Mr Jarrah Kawusu-Konte has been brought under several forms of political intimidations by way of unnecessary Police invites from Criminal Investigations Department in 2018 on orders from top government officials at State House.
