The Suerra Leone Police Waterloo Division Media Unit has disclosed that a twelve-year boy, Morlai Fofanah was reportedly drowned at a wharf called Pa. Morlia, Masorie, Waterloo, Western Rural District.
According to Police source, the drowning occurred after the deceased and three other minors went on a casual swimming exercise at the said wharf.
Police also informed that the 12 years old boy got missing for four days and after an intense search conducted by waterloo police and community members was later discovered lifeless at Pa Morlai Wharf.
Police say the deceased was on a holiday to his aunt, Hawa Fofanah, Massorie, Waterloo.
Unto press time, Family members of the deceased have pleaded with the Waterloo Police to hand over the remain of the 12 years old boy for burial.
According to police, the family said they can’t afford the cost for post-mortem examination.
