In a resounding event, a well-known business tycoon and philanthropist in Sierra Leone received accolades from his king’s men.
Alhaji Juldeh Sowe a well-respected businessman, the Chief Executive Officer of BSB International, and Flour Mill, who doubles as the president of Tabital Pulaaku International Sierra Leone chapter on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Tabital Pulaaku’s head office in Freetown, received the honor from a group of women under the banner Bhantal Sunnabeh Musidal Sierra Leone and Fulanis from Kono district respectively.
His honor resonates with his unwavering contributions to empower and change the lives of others especially the less fortunate, paying school fees for university students across the country, and supporting the Muslim community.
Speaking on behalf of the women, the leader Haja Isatu Salimatu Bailor Bah said that years of admiration for the works of the philanthropist move them to honor him, noting it is important to appreciate and celebrate good people while they are still alive. “As women we admire the work you do especially supporting the less privileged” she pointed out, adding her group wants to follow suit.
Similarly, the people of the Kono district said they honored him as a form of appreciating him for the support he has been rendering to them over the years especially towards the education of their children from that part of the country.
In his response, Alhaji Juldeh Sowe expressed gratitude for the resounding honor, saying he has been motivated to do more. “I’m overjoyed to be honored by my people” he joyously articulated. He however encouraged all Fulanis to be united and be law-abiding citizens.
Alhaji Juldeh Sowe over the years is known for his selfless philanthropist which includes paying university fees for students across the country, currently, he is paying for over three hundred students, consistently providing food for Muslims during the Month of Ramadan among others, paying hospital bills for the underprivileged to name but few.
