According to media reports, many government offices including the Ministry of Defence and the Samory Military camp in Guinea Conakry have been set on fire.
The main market in Conakry, the capital city, was also not spared. The spate of incidents started since Friday through yesterday Sunday (10 – 12 May 2024).
The authorities are said to be investigating what is or are the reason(s) behind the arson attacks.
