We are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PowerWomen 232, a network of female professionals dedicated to advancing the careers and leadership roles of women across Sierra Leone. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering women, fostering leadership, and driving positive social change in the country.
Since 2014, Power Women 232 has significantly impacted women professionals and entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, networking opportunities, leadership development, and community service initiatives. Through this partnership, we aim to enhance these efforts and create more opportunities for women and girls to excel in their careers and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
At UBA Sierra Leone, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts are deeply rooted in the belief that empowering women is key to sustainable growth and development. We are committed to supporting women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional growth through a variety of initiatives.
This partnership will focus on:
♦️ Community Service Initiatives: Engaging women professionals in projects that address societal challenges, particularly during national crises.
♦️ Mentorship and Leadership Programs: Offering mentorship to young girls and women, equipping them with the tools to succeed and grow into leadership roles.
♦️ Networking and Professional Development: Creating platforms for women to connect, share ideas, and build relationships that foster business and career growth.
As part of UBA’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, this MOU underscores a joint vision to empower women, promote leadership development, and create a brighter future for Sierra Leone. By investing in women, we are investing in a stronger, more prosperous nation.
