They say “when you lie with dogs, you get up with fleas.” That is what has gradually taken over Madam Fatima Bio’s disposition. She is now similarly smeared by the same mud as her “mammy cuss” mentor.
Since that unholy alliance or association with Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, somebody who takes pleasure in bawdiness and melody in her insulting words against decent people, the First Lady seems to have gradually mastered the art (of being bawdy and insolent) as well; and now even trying to outshine the she-devil.
Such an utterance (the one she made in Kono referring to cabinet ministers as ‘dogs’) and brazenly unethically published in the Awareness Times Newspaper is an affront to the integrity of the Bio led administration and such may provoke or warrant the resignation of the entire cabinet for her husband to get the weight of not to have a first lady interfering in governance and openly insulting government officials.
For the Head of State to keep his head up, President Bio needs to prevail on his wife, who is supposed to be a mere first lady, to also openly say “sorry” to our ministers for her unsavory words against our top government functionaries. Afterwards, all those ministers went through vetting in Parliament before being approved so they are “state officials” to be insulted with impunity.
Recently, and to protect her status and image, the Sierra Leone Police incaserated a female cyberbully for insulting her as our first lady. She must understand that ‘what is good for the goose is also good for the gander’. She cannot therefore, be protected against insult only for her to become an epitome of the same detest.
