United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone (UBA SL), one of the country’s leading financial institutions, is celebrating its annual Customers’ Service Week, under the inspiring theme “Mission Possible.” The week-long celebration is dedicated to appreciating customers for their loyalty and contributions to the bank’s success.

Speaking during the week’s activities, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Chiedu Ngene, said the celebration is a way for the bank to honour its customers, who are the foundation of UBA’s growth. “This week is all about our customers. UBA SL remains strong and active because of them, and it’s only fitting that we dedicate this time to celebrate their trust and partnership,” he said.

Head of Media and Marketing, Mr. Sallieu Sesay, emphasized the importance of the initiative, noting that UBA has made customer appreciation an annual tradition. “This is not the first time we are celebrating our customers,” he said. “Every year, we take this opportunity to express our gratitude. It is a reflection of UBA’s commitment to exceptional service and building long-term relationships with clients.”

Adding to that, Head of Customer Experience, Kadijatu Sillah, explained that this year’s activities include interactive sessions, giveaways, and a raffle draw for customers to win exciting prizes. “We appreciate every single customer. That is why we organized the raffle, to reward loyalty and show that UBA cares beyond banking,” she stated.

Throughout the week, UBA branches across Sierra Leone have been decorated in the theme’s vibrant colours, creating a festive atmosphere that has been warmly received by customers.

Many customers shared positive experiences about UBA’s services and strong security systems, which they said stand out from other banks in the country.

“I’ve banked with UBA for over five years, and I can confidently say their security is top-notch,” said Mr. Mohamed Kamara, a long-time customer. “Their verification process and alert system make me feel safe every time I transact. UBA doesn’t just talk about security, but they practice it.”

Another satisfied customer, Mr. Ibrahim Conteh, noted that UBA’s staff are professional and welcoming. “From the moment you walk into any UBA branch, the staff treat you with respect and warmth. They handle customers’ needs promptly, and that makes UBA different from the rest,” he said.

Ms. Abiola Johnson expressed her appreciation for the raffle draw and the overall celebration. “It’s rare to see a bank take time to celebrate customers like this. UBA’s effort shows they truly value us, not just as account holders but as partners,” she said.

COO Mr. Ngene reiterated that the bank’s success story is closely tied to its customers. “Our mission is to make financial services accessible, secure, and rewarding. This week reminds us that every milestone UBA achieves is possible because of our customers,” he remarked.

Mr. Sesay encouraged all customers to participate in the remaining days of the celebration. “We have exciting activities lined up until the 10th of October, including prize presentations and interactive sessions. This week belongs to our customers,” he said.

Ms. Sillah concluded by reaffirming the bank’s commitment to continuously improving customer experience. “At UBA, we listen, we care, and we deliver. Customer satisfaction is not just our goal, but it’s our mission.”

As the Customers’ Service Week continues, the atmosphere across UBA branches remains filled with gratitude, joy, and appreciation, reflecting the bank’s long-standing promise, to make every customer feel valued because, at UBA, Mission Possible is more than a theme; it’s a way of service.
