In a time when Sierra Leonean football is crying out for honest leadership and real transformation, all eyes are on the upcoming Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) elections. After years of broken promises, neglect, and controversy, the football family is ready for a fresh start—a new era rooted in integrity, vision, and action.
That new era begins with one name: Babadi Kamara.
For too long, football in Sierra Leone has been steered by individuals who’ve failed to live up to their promises. A painful example is the recent case in Magburaka, Tonkolili District. The historic Wurie Trophy, a proud local competition that has survived not because of SLFA leadership but through the tireless efforts and personal funding of a single, passionate businessman, was left in limbo.
Under the current SLFA leadership, not only was the competition poorly supported, but the president also promised to deliver a mini stadium with artificial turf before February 2025. Unsurprisingly, that promise was never fulfilled. No foundation was laid. No turf arrived. Once again, the people of Tonkolili District were misled.
Even more disturbing is the fact that, for the first time in Sierra Leone’s history, a sitting SLFA president is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over the alleged misuse of football funds. Such a scandal is not just embarrassing—it’s a damning indictment of the state of leadership in Sierra Leone football. The sport has been held hostage by mismanagement, dishonesty, and a lack of vision.
Grassroots football has been neglected. Promising young talents are left without opportunities. Local competitions are underfunded, and clubs struggle to stay afloat. The energy, pride, and promise of Sierra Leonean football have been steadily drained.
But the time for change has come
Enter Babadi Kamara: A Proven Football Leader
Babadi Kamara is not just a name—he is a force for good in Sierra Leone football. A man who has walked the talk, Babadi is the only candidate in this election who has truly invested in the game at every level. He has built football infrastructure, managed successful clubs, and empowered young players across the country.
From Bo Rangers’ historic transformation into a national powerhouse to the modern football facilities he helped develop in the Southern region, Babadi has already delivered what others only talk about. He understands what our local clubs need, what our players dream of, and how football can unite communities and inspire a nation.
Babadi Kamara is not a politician in football—he is a football man through and through. He has lived the game, nurtured it, and helped it grow. His record speaks louder than any speech. Under his leadership, Bo Rangers became more than just a club—they became a model of what is possible with proper management and vision.
A Defining Moment for Football
This election is not just about changing names at the top—it’s about reclaiming the soul of Sierra Leone football. It’s about restoring trust, building systems that work, and giving our young people the opportunities they deserve.
SLFA delegates now hold the future in their hands. The vote is not just a political process—it is a chance to reshape the destiny of our national game.
Babadi Kamara offers more than hope—he offers a plan, a track record, and a passion for football that runs deep. He is committed to transparency, development, and real partnerships that benefit the entire football ecosystem—from the smallest community team to the national squad.
The Road Ahead
With Babadi Kamara at the helm, Sierra Leone can dream again. Our youth can believe in a future through football. Our clubs can thrive. Our national teams can compete with pride and preparation. And our communities can rally once more around the game we all love.
This is the moment to turn the page on failed leadership. This is the time to elect a president who understands that football is not just a game—it’s a lifeline, a platform for unity, and a vehicle for progress.
Vote Babadi Kamara as the next SLFA President. Let’s bring football back to the people. Let’s win again—on and off the pitch.
