Following a display of generosity and commitment to his party, prominent lawyer and politician, Ady Macauley, has donated 500 bags of rice to the National Executive of the All People’s Congress (APC) to be distributed nationwide to some of the structures of the party to support the Muslim and Christian communities during Ramadan and Lent.
The donation, which was handed over to the party’s executive, is intended to provide relief to Muslims observing the fast, reinforcing the APC’s role in assisting communities during important religious occasions.
Macauley’s manner of the donation expressed his trust in the APC leadership, acknowledging their years of dedication to the party and their ability to handle such initiatives effectively.
His decision to channel the donation through the party executive was seen as a strong endorsement of their leadership. Many within the party and the broader political landscape view this as a historic moment, as no one before him has made such a substantial contribution to the Muslim community through the APC’s leadership.
During the handover, the Secretary General of the APC, Lansana Dumbuya, praised Macauley for his generosity and described his donation as a timely intervention. He commended Macauley for engaging with the party leadership at a time when unity within the APC is of utmost importance.
He said Ady Macauley is the first to use the party as a link to do the distribution. Dumbuya emphasized the need for party solidarity, urging all members to work together to strengthen the APC ahead of future political battles.
The Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Alhaji Foday Osman Yansaneh, also lauded Macauley for his fearless and bold leadership qualities, describing him as a figure who has consistently shown dedication to the party’s ideals and values.
His remarks reflected a growing sentiment within the APC that the party needs courageous and decisive leaders to navigate the current political landscape. Macauley’s donation, he said, was a demonstration of his commitment not just to the party but also to national development.
