The management of the back-to-back Sierra Leone Male Premier League has financially boosted Mogbwemo Queens with $8,000 as support for the club in their debut appearance in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Liberia.
Babadi Kamara, the Executive Chairman, presented the donation on behalf of the management of Bo Rangers.
Making a statement during the presentation, Kamara stated that, “It is time for all football enthusiasts to rally around and support the Queens in whatever way they can, as the Queens will be representing Sierra Leone and flying the Green, White, and Blue in Liberia”.
Kamara affirmed his support for the Queens saying that, “Bo Rangers as a club stands with the Queens, and they will also be praying for the team to succeed in the qualifiers with the hope of progressing to the group stage of the CAF Women’s Champions League proper,” Kamara added.
Mr Yayah Mansaray, the Team Manager of Mogbewemo Queens after receiving the donation on behalf of the Mogbwemo Queens, thanked Bo Rangers Executive Chairman and stated that his support was timely.
He described the Executive Chairman as a philanthropist who has contributed immensely to the development of football in Sierra Leone and continues to do so as and when he is called upon.
The team is presently in Liberia at the R.L.J Kendeja Resort & Villas, Monrovia, ahead of their opening fixture on Sunday 6th at 7:00 p.m. against AS Dakar Sacre Coeur.
