On August 19, 2025, the eighth “Chinese Doctors’ Day,” Ambassador Wang Qing visited the Chinese Military Medical Cooperation Expert Group, the China Medical Team, and the Chinese Fixed Biosafety Laboratory Expert Group in Sierra Leone.
He made on-site inspections of the work and life of the three medical and health teams and extended holiday greetings and high respect to the experts.
Ambassador Wang Qing highly praised the medical experts in Sierra Leone for upholding the spirit of Red Doctors, the great anti-epidemic spirit, and the spirit of China medical teams.
They overcame difficulties and made selfless contributions under extremely difficult conditions in Sierra Leone, achieving outstanding work results and making significant contributions to deepening China-Sierra Leone medical and health cooperation and enhancing the traditional friendship between the two countries.
He encouraged the medical team to uphold the theme of this year’s Chinese Doctors’ Day, “Virtue in Action, Skill in Diligence,” to maintain the noble professional spirit, enhance their service capabilities, complete their mission in Sierra Leone with high quality, and make new contributions to building a community of health for all mankind.
