The leadership of the All People Congress (APC) has notified the general public on a public notice that was released on the 16th November, 2023 about the completion the disciplinary investigation against Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Hon. Alfred Thompson. The notice states:
The membership of the All Peoples Congress (APC) and the general public are hereby informed that the Nation Disciplinary and Grievance Handing Committee of the party has completed its disciplinary hearings against Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Hon. Alfred Thompson…”
The notice went further to state that the committee has submitted its final report and recommendations to the Secretariat for onward submission to the National Advisory Committee.
The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) in the mid of September, 2023 released a statement that they have summoned Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Hon. Alfred Ayodele. Thompson for failing to follow their party’s mandate to boycott all governance processes in the country. The two APC sitting Members of Parliament were asked by their party to appear before the Disciplinary and Grievance Committee to further explain their actions.
According to the release, “Mohamed Bangura and Alfred Thompson summoned to face the disciplinary and grievance committee. The All People’s Congress wishes to inform its general membership that Hon. Mohamed Bangura and Alfred Thompson have been officially summoned to appear before the Disciplinary and Grievance Committee, a creature of Chapter 6 of the Party’s 2022 constitution….”
