There have been huge rumours around especially on social media that all the All People Congress party supporters are going to stage a nationwide protest. In line with those rumours, the Office of the National Chairman has released a press release on the said rumours of protest.

“The attention of the leadership of the All People Congress (APC) has been drawn to information circulating on social media for a planned protest in support of some suspects November 27 failed coup.

The APC wishes to inform its leadership and the general public that it has called for no such protest and therefore asking its membership, supporters and the general public not to get involved or participate in such protest…we call on you to be law-abiding and not to take the law into your own hands by participating in a protest not organised by the party,” the release reads.

The release furthers that the leadership of the APC is doing everything legally possible to ensure that the former president is safe.
