Berlin, September 16, 2025 – The APC Holland District opened its doors to a high-powered delegation from Team DIB European Coordination on Sunday, October 14, signalling strong backing for Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, the leading APC Flagbearer. The enthusiasm, focus, and determination demonstrated by APC Holland highlight a resurgent, united European APC diaspora, ready to champion Dr. Bangura and propel the party toward a historic and successful campaign. The meeting marked a pivotal engagement ahead of the upcoming European campaign launch, with Germany as the central destination on October 3–4, 2025.

The delegation, consisting of Mr. Umaru Jah, European Coordinator for Team DIB, Mr. Ahmed Sesay, Esq., member of the National Campaign Team, and Mr. Adams Bangura, representing the UK&I, was warmly received by the Holland District Executive. The district leadership was introduced to the team by Deputy PRO Mr. Sensie Magnus, while Mr. Jah outlined the delegation’s objectives and the strategic significance of the European campaign.

Vice Chairman Mr. Kerifa Kamara welcomed the delegation and conveyed the blessings of District Chairman Alim Simon, who was unavoidably absent but had fully authorised the executive to host the engagement. He emphasised that APC Holland is committed to playing a decisive and central role in Dr. Bangura’s European campaign, ensuring visible and sustained support.

Secretary Mr. Osman Kamara detailed APC Holland’s notable contributions: 158 registered members, a donated radio station to the APC in Sierra Leone, financial support to the party, and the provision of 500 megaphones to strengthen grassroots mobilisation. He also recalled the district’s history of hosting senior party dignitaries, including former First Lady Sia Koroma. Women’s Leader Madam Mariama Kamara added that, despite these accomplishments, APC Holland has occasionally felt marginalised, and she stressed that the district’s dedication and sacrifices deserve recognition.

On behalf of Team DIB, Mr. Umaru Jah expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasised the critical importance of APC Holland’s leadership and mobilisation efforts. He emphasised that Dr. Bangura’s upcoming European tour is a defining moment for the APC diaspora, and Holland’s active participation is crucial to the campaign’s success.

Mr Adams Bangura praised the district’s commitment, noting that the diaspora has long contributed to the APC while receiving limited recognition. He urged members to remain resolute and highlighted Dr. Bangura’s campaign theme, Heal, Unite and Build, as a call to mend divisions within the party and strengthen cohesion across all levels.

Mr. Ahmed Sesay, Esq., reflected on Dr. Bangura’s decades-long service to the APC, from his early activism in the student union wing to his pivotal roles at the party’s conventions in Makeni, where he even chaired proceedings while unwell. He described Dr. Bangura as a peace ambassador whose influence spans the African subregion, demonstrating dedication and sacrifice for the APC and its ideals.

Ahmed further framed the Team DIB initiative in Holland as part of a broader strategic effort aligned with the national campaign team in Sierra Leone, ensuring Dr. Bangura engages directly with APC members at all levels. He emphasised Holland’s historic importance within the party, encouraging the district to take ownership and actively prepare for Dr. Bangura’s visit to Germany. He also assured members that their voices and concerns would be carried forward and respected.
