The membership of the main opposition All People’s Congress Interim Transitional Committee (APC – ITGC) last Friday 27 May 2022 announced that it had promulgated Rules of Procedures and Regulations for the Conduct of lower level elections as mandated by the High Court of Sierra Leone ruling, passed on 28 April 2022 by Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher.The Committee has also on the same date appointed Peter Kamaray and Co. Consultancy to carry out a forensic audit on the financial programmes and activities of the APC party for the period October 2017 to 28 April 2022. Peter Kamaray and Co. Consultancy is expected to report on the outcome of the financial investigation within sixty days of its appointment.
According to a press release issued from the APC National Secretariat on 11 Railway Line, Broomfields, Freetown, signed by the APC-ITGC Secretary General and Head of Secretariat, Hon. Abdul Kargbo, “the move is in compliance with the High Court judgement delivered on 28 April 2022 by Hon Justice Adrian Fisher, 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone, the APC 2022 Constitution, and the Political Parties’ Registration Commission for the conduct of all lower level elections.
It furthered that the APC-ITGC shall within seven days of the promulgation forward WHAT to the PPRC for publication in the Sierra Leone Gazette as required by the laws of Sierra Leone.
