A cross section of the main opposition All People’s Congress-APC members and supporters including high profile party leaders over the weekend paid their last respect to the late Chief Alhaji Benson Suwu and mourned with the late Chief’s family following his death in Kenema on Thursday 25th June, 2020.
Present at the burial of the late Chief Suwu were former State House Chief of Staff, Dr Richard Konteh, former Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr Momoh Vandi, former Minister of State East and the APC National Deputy Organizing Secretary, Karamo Kabba, among host of party members and supporters.
Chief Suwu was one time Deputy Minister of Political Affairs under the last APC Government of former President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma and served as a Regent Chief Norngowa Chiefdom, Kenema district.
Presenting condiments for funeral arrangements, the APC National Deputy Organizing Secretary, Karamo Kabba said the death of Chief Suwu took the APC party by storm, describing it as an urgency the APC was obliged to respond to no matter the prevailing socioeconomic and political circumstances.
For and on behalf of the APC party, Mr Kabba presented the sum of Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Leones (Le 5,500), five bags of rice and ten gallons of cooking oil jointly put together Dr Vandi, Dr Konteh, and Mr Kabba as part of the APC party support to the Suwu family for burial arrangements.
