Fourteen chapters of the All Peoples Congress (APC) USA District have submitted a formal Motion of Objection to the party’s National Secretariat in Freetown, condemning what they describe as corrupt and unconstitutional actions by the current APC USA District Executive.

The motion, dated October 14, 2025, accuses the executive of conducting a “fake and manipulated vote” to select Washington, D.C. as the venue for this year’s convention, a move the objecting chapters claim violates the District’s bye-laws. The group insists that the decision was made without proper authority or representation, sparking division and dissatisfaction among members.

According to the statement, out of the 14 district chapters, seven presidents abstained from the vote while three were absent. Despite this, the executive allegedly proceeded to declare Washington, D.C. as the chosen venue. The motion describes this as a deliberate act by “many of whom are aspirants” to impose their personal agenda on the wider membership.

In their petition, the dissenting chapters called on the APC Secretary General, with copies sent to the party’s Chairman and Vice Chairman, to intervene and nullify what they termed a “fraudulent venue decision.” They also copied key figures including National Coordinator Abubakar Kargbo (ABS), Acting Chairman Kebbie Turay, and 6th Region Chairman Alfred Kebbie Sesay.

The motion outlines three key demands:

Nullify the venue decision alleged to have been reached through manipulation.

Restore fairness and transparency in the decision-making process.

Convene all 14 chapter presidents to reach a lawful and inclusive decision on the convention venue.

In addition, the objecting chapters proposed that this year’s convention be jointly hosted by California and Arizona. They argue that such an arrangement would promote inclusion, fairness, and unity among members across the APC USA District.

The statement concludes with a bold declaration of commitment to justice and accountability within the party: “Na We Get the Game! APC USA District, For Justice, Unity, and Progress.”

The internal dispute underscores growing tensions within the APC’s diaspora structures, as members abroad continue to play influential roles in shaping the party’s direction. With the motion now officially submitted, attention turns to the APC National Secretariat in Freetown to see how it will address the allegations and whether it will take steps to resolve the controversy before the upcoming convention.
