Edward Thinka Kamara Jnr. a resident and community stakeholder at Hill Top community, back off Old Skool, Hill Station, South Ridge has intimated to this medium of his intention of vying for the opposition All People Congress (APC) councillor symbol for Ward 436, Constituency 128 in the Mountain Rural district for the June 24th multitier elections.
Giving a gist background about his personal life, Edward Thinka Kamara Jnr. said he is a born and bred of Wilberforce, a neighbourhood community to Hill Top and attended the Services Municipal Primary School and later proceeded to the Services Secondary School and later furthered his Senior Secondary Schooling at the Albert Academy.
Edward Thinka Kamara Jnr. averred that he decided to vie for the councillor symbol for Ward 436 because the community is badly deprived and lack the basic social amenities that should be defined as a community which gives him the urge to declare for the councillorship.
According to Edward Thinka Kamara Jnr. the community is deprived of clean and safe drinking water, bad road networks, lack of health and community centres, community schools and so on and so forth.
He said to this medium that he is aspiring for the councillor symbol under the APC which he said is the best party in the community and country at large and that Ward 436 is an APC infested community.
Edward Thinka Kamara Jnr. said if he is voted in as the next councillor for Ward 436 will ensure that he continue with the past legacy of former NATCOM Chairman, the late Momoh Konte to construct the deadly road network leading to the main junction.
He said with the help and participation of the people, he is ready to make Hill Top one of the best communities in the country.
The aspiring councillor assured that he has a cordial relationship with his community people and has always exhibited the same respect and love for them.
