In a thrilling Round 16 encounter at the COFA Inter-Community Champions League, Bambara Tong Community showcased their dominance by cruising past Ascension Town Community 4 -1 and with decisive performance. The match drew a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters from both communities, eager to witness the high-stakes clash. From the first whistle, it was clear that Bambara Tong had come prepared, displaying superior tactics and teamwork. Kabba Conteh gave Bambara Tong Community an early lead that was cancelled by Mohamed Jenkins in the 20th minute for Ascension Town to level the scores going into the half time. Bambara Tong replied immediately with a sublime strike from Unisa Dumbuya early in the second half to put Bambara Tong 2-1 ahead before Kwame and Sallieu Conteh made it 3-1 and 4-1 respectively.

The standout player of the match was undoubtedly Unisa Dumbuya (Dybala), whose relentless pressure and skillful play caused significant problems for the Ascension Town defense. Dumbuya’s agility and quick thinking were on full display as he maneuvered through the opposition, creating numerous scoring opportunities. His efforts paid off in the 55th minute when he netted a spectacular goal, sending the Bambara Tong supporters into a frenzy.

Ascension Town Community struggled to find their rhythm throughout the match, largely due to Dumbuya’s disruptive presence. Their attempts to counterattack were repeatedly thwarted by interceptions by the Bambara Tong defence and swift transitions. Despite their best efforts, Ascension Town’s defence was unable to contain Dumbuya, leading to three goals in the second half that sealed their fate.

The final whistle blew with Bambara Tong Community securing a well-deserved victory. The match highlighted the exceptional talent within the Bambara Tong squad, with Unisa Dumbuya emerging as the hero of the day. His performance not only secured the win but also set a high standard for the rest of the tournament. As the community celebrates this triumph, all eyes will be on Unisa to see if he can maintain his remarkable form in the upcoming matches
