Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No. 1, Freetown has last Thursday 26th January 2023 issued a bench warrant for alleged unlawful eviction and larceny in case involving one Abass Kabba, the accused a contractor.
The warrant was issued following an application filed by Police Inspector Kadie Taylor to arrest the contractor because of his failure to appear in court on Thursday 26th January 2023.
The accused Abass Kabba is before, on two counts ranging from unlawful eviction contrary to the law and larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, the accused Abass Kabba on Monday 23rd May 2022, at No.22 Garrison Street, Freetown unlawfully evicted Kai Ellie without lawful authority.
Count 2 states that the accused on the same date and placed, stole one assorted colour ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag containing the sum of Fifty Million Leones, a property of Sahr David Ellie.
Prosecuting the matter is Inspector Kadie Taylor. The matter was adjourned to 13th February 2023.
