Bench Warrant for Kenema Chief

Magistrate Mark Ngegba on the Padempa Road Court No.1 in Freetown ordered a bench warrant for the town chief of Beleby village, Kenema
Town Chief, Alhaji Ansumana Kallon.

The accused was standing before the court on one count of Obtaining good by false pretences Contrary to Section 32 (1) of larceny Act 1916.

Particulars of offence stated that the accused Alhaji Ansumana Kallon on the 22nd of September 2020 at Fourah Bay College with intent to defraud and obtained certain properties that is to say one white Toyota Hilux vehicle AAG 454 valued Five Thousand United State Dollars equivalent to Seventy Two million Five Hundred Thousand new Leones from the complainant Augustine Ansumana Garmoh by falsely pretending to buy the said vehicle knowing same to be false.

When the matter was mentioned in court the accused was no were to be found the prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Lahai M applied for bench warrant which was granted by the setting Magistrate. Matter adjourned to the 9th February 2023 for further hearing.
