One of the title contenders of the Sierra Leone Premier League, Bhantal FC, has suffered a 2-0 defeat against Old Edwardians FC in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.
In a mouth-watering encounter between Old Edwardians vs Bhantal FC at the SLFA Academy Field Kingtom on Sunday 31 March 2024, Bhantal FC had a tough battle to fight against the “Mary Park Boy” Old Edwardians FC and at the end of the day Bhantal FC faced their first defeat in the second leg of the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League 2023/24 season.
This defeat showed that Bhantal FC failed to take their chance to the top of the table and this is their third loss of the season. A superb performance from Mohamed Fogbawa against Bhantal FC who scored two good goals in match helped his side to get all three points.
His performance showcased his skills and tenacity on the pitch, as well as his ability to make a meaningful contribution to the game and later won the player of the match!
Bhantal FC fought hard throughout the game but was unable to secure the desired result against a resilient Old Edwardians FC, but despite the loss, Bhantal FC maintains their 3rd position in the league standings with 37 points. Whereas, that win for Old Edwardians has made them to seat in the 5th position in the League with 29 points after 19 games played.
