Freetown, Sierra Leone, Abu Bakarr Jalloh a bike rider on Tuesday, 22nd, October, 2024, has been remanded following another appearance for the continuation of his trial before Magistrate Isata sellu Tucker of Pademba road court No.3 in Freetown on a count of Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 17th September 2024 at Wilberforce parking ground the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say one LX Star motor bike with registration number AWB 367 valued twenty two thousand eight hundred Leones(22,800) entrusted to him by Musa Amadu Jalloh for the purpose of safe keeping property of Musa Amadu Jalloh
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person no plea was given.
The prosecutor Detective Police Constable 15098 Sesay MA sought for a short adjournment date for him to get proper conference with his witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Tucker refused bail based on the gravity of the alleged crime and sent the accused person to the male correctional facility in Freetown as the case has been adjourned to the 24th October 2024, for further proceedings.
