As a way to uphold the country’s culture and tradition and maintain the festive season in the country, Blast Production in collaboration with the fastest growing mobile company in Sierra Leone QcellSL have launched their festival called the Next General Trade Festival and Miss Vocational beauty Pageant.
This launching took place on Friday 15th November 2024 at the Sierra Leone Association of Journalist (SLAJ) headquarters along Campbell Street in Freetown.
According to the Blast Production Coordinator who also double as the keynote speaker, Mr. Remmie Edmond Davies, they called this year’s festival NextGeneration because they knew that this is the next generation of people that could take entertainment to another level, adding that they decided to bring the trade festival to the people because it’s been a while people haven’t been enjoying their December because of the renovation of the Siaka Steven Stadium where they normally experienced their exhibition.
He continued that this year’s festival could be one of it kind because people would be experiencing a lot of goodies. He said the event would celebrate not only the vibrant potential of our youth in the country but also their undeniable role in driving economic growth, innovation and Social Change.
He admitted that the NextGeneration Trade Festival would bring together young entrepreneur, artisan and thought leaders skills, offering a platform to showcase their talents, connect with industry mentors and inspire the next wave of creative entrepreneur in the country. He said that the event is more than an opportunity for trade and networking in the country, noting that it represents a movements one that’s embrace the ingenuity of the youths, harnesses the power of vocational skills.
Mr. Davies noted that the Miss vocational beauty pageants is an exciting and empowering twist on traditional pageants. He said the pageantary would focuses on marketing and uniqueness of womenhood and the technical knowhow of women in the country. “We want to represent our targeted learning institution of young women and encouraging them to be relentless in breaking boundaries and redefining beauty,” he said.
