Following their 5:1 win against Lamboi FC, Bo Ranger has been crowned champions of the Sierra Leone Premier League for the third time in a row.
This all important encounter for Bo Rangers against Wusum Stars took place at the most prestigious Southern Arena Stadium, on Sunday 1 July, 2023.
This victory has seen Bo Rangers to clinch the Sierra Leone Premier League tittle back-to-back. They won the League with just four lost and seven draws after 34 matches played. They have one of the best records in the history of Sierra Leone football. Played 34 matches, win 22 games, draw 7 with 4 defeat and they have secured 76 points so far. Bo Rangers won the league last season unbeatable, and they are one of the few teams in Sierra Leone football history to accomplish an unprecedented mile stone by going through the entire season without any defeat.
The Elephant boys of the South as they normally called them are the fifth team in the history of Sierra Leone football to win the League back-to-back. Diamond Stars did it in 2012 and 2013 season, also Mighty Blackpool in 1978 and 1979, Real Republicans also in 1983 and 1984. However, East End Lions is the only team that have won the League three times in a row, 1992, 1993, and 1994 respectfully. And Bo Rangers has replicated this record under the leadership of Babadi Kamara and the Head Coach, John Keister?
Bo Rangers is based in the country’s second City of Bo. The team has one of the best strikers in the League, Abu Komeh. They had also the most wins in the league and the defence of Bo Rangers is also outstanding, conceding less goals in the League.
