The defending champions and the current league leaders, of the Sierra Leone Premier League, Bo Rangers, hoped to strengthen their lead at the top of the Leone Rock Premier League table against Freetonians SLFIA.
This all important encounter between Bo Rangers and Freetonians SLFIA will play on Sunday 11th February 2024, at the Southern Arena Stadium in Bo.
After Bo Rangers had defeated Diamond Stars from Kono by a goal to nile in their recent match, this victory had made them to increase their lead by 5 points with a game in hand.
Looking ahead, Bo Rangers will face a difficult battle in their upcoming match against Freetonians SLFIA, who are currently in 7th position. SLFIA last match against one of the top teams in the league, FC Kallon ended goalless at the Attouga Mini Stadium. This result had sent signals to Bo Rangers to aware that Freetonians SLFIA are not push over and they need to be at their best if only they want to take all three points against the SLFIAs.
Freetonians SLFIA has really proven to be a force to reckon with in the league. After 15 matches played, they’re in the 7th position, the team have won 5 lost 4, and draw 6 they have secured 21 points so far in the league. They have surprised many with their great results and it’s time for them to prove themselves against the defending champions who also double as the league Leaders.
Bo Rangers have also proven to be the defending champions in the league and they have shown that they’re ready to retain the title for the third time in a row. After 14 matches played, they’re currently leading the table with 32 points with 5 points clear at the top and they still have a game in hand. They have won 10 games lost 2 and draw 2 so far in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
This match between Bo Rangers and Freetonians SLFIA promises to be interesting, with both teams looking for a win. Bo Rangers will look to continue their winning streak and extend their advantage at the top, while Freetonians SLFIA will be motivated to cut the gap and secure all three points.
