As a proud son of Kenema and a respected senior figure in the SLPP, Chief Swarray used the gathering to emphasize peace, reconciliation, and unity within the party. He reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to President and party leader, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, encouraging supporters in Kenema to continue standing firmly behind the President’s leadership and developmental agenda.
In his remarks, Chief Swarray reminded party members that the lower-level elections have now been concluded, leaving no room for division. He called on members to put aside personal differences and work together as one family in pursuit of a stronger and more united SLPP. According to him, unity and discipline at every level of the party will be essential in ensuring victory in the 2028 elections.
“Now that we have completed the lower-level elections, it is time for us to close ranks and move forward with one purpose. Our party has always been strongest when we are united, and that unity must remain our focus as we look toward 2028,” Chief Swarray stated.
The meeting attracted a wide cross-section of SLPP supporters and stakeholders from Kenema who warmly welcomed Chief Swarray’s message of reconciliation. Many expressed gratitude for his continued engagement and his consistent support for the people of Kenema. Several speakers noted that his leadership record and developmental contributions stand as proof of his commitment not only to the SLPP but also to the nation at large.
Chief Swarray’s visit was described by party faithful as both timely and inspiring, particularly at a period when the SLPP is consolidating its internal structures and preparing for the challenges ahead. His call for peace and reconciliation was hailed as an important step toward reducing tensions that occasionally arise from internal competition.
Members of the community also seized the opportunity to thank him for his outstanding contributions to Kenema’s development, both during and after his time in public office. They recalled his achievements in reforming public procurement, strengthening revenue mobilization, and championing development projects that benefited citizens across Sierra Leone.
Widely admired for his leadership, humility, and dedication to service, Chief Swarray has built a reputation as a unifying figure in Sierra Leonean politics. His ability to connect with grassroots supporters while also shaping policy at the national level has earned him respect across the political spectrum.
As the meeting concluded, supporters in Kenema reaffirmed their appreciation for his unwavering commitment to the district and the SLPP, many describing him as a bridge builder who has consistently prioritized peace and collective progress over personal ambition.
