The British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Josephine Gaud, alongside Political Secretary Jack Burne, made a significant courtesy visit to the offices of the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Segepoh Solomon Thomas, in Freetown., a meetingthat marks a pivotal moment in enhancing the longstanding relationship between Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom, signifying a continuous commitment to mutual development and cooperation.
The Rt. Hon. Speaker welcomed the High Commissioner with warmth, and highlighted the essential role of Parliament in the nation’s governance and development trajectory.

Following the discussions, the High Commissioner and her delegation were given a guided tour of key areas within the Parliament, including the Parliament Library, the Chamber, and significant historical sites such as the grave sites of the late Sir Milton Margai, the nation’s first Prime Minister, and Siaka P. Stevens, the first Executive President.
