Ibrahim Koroma a twenty-Six years old builder on Thursday, 26 September, 2024, made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on the 7th August 2024 at Bio Drive Spur Loop Wilberforce the western Area in Freetown did steal four 2.5 millimetres electrical cables, toll 4 millimetre electrical and other assorted items equivalent to the total sum of twenty five thousand eight hundred and sixty Leones(25,860) property of Emmanuel Waddie Konssa.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor Sergeant 8811 Florence M Wilson told the Magistrate that fact as charge no previous criminal records against the accused person.
The accused was not legally represented and he pleaded with the magistrate to temper justice with mercy on his behalf.
Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person because he is a first time offender he didn’t waste the court time he sentenced him to three years six months imprisonment to the male correctional facility in Freetown.
