The Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sierra Leone, Li Xiaoyong has last Thursday 3rd November 2022 received the President of the Sierra Leone Gymnastics Federation (SLGF) Mrs. Anna Williams and members of the federation, at the Embassy’s residence in Freetown.During the meeting Mrs. Williams and the athletes presented the medals they won in International Gymnastics competitions to Mr. Li Xiaoyong and expressed sincere appreciations to the Chinese Embassy for its strong support to SLGF. Under the scholarship programme provided by China, some members of SLGF were trained on acrobatics in Hebei Wuqiao Acrobatics Art School from 2018 to 2019.
For his part, Mr. Li Xiaoyong warmly welcomed the delegation and made a brief introduction on the bilateral cooperation between China and Sierra Leone, especially on the area of sports and human resources. He encouraged the athletes to work harder so as to make greater achievements in international competitions in the future
