The Limba ethnic community drawn from across Freetown and beyond have last Friday 30 May 2025 graciously named one of the most popular All People’s Congress (APC) flag bearer aspirants, Hon Chernor Ramadan Maju Bah – Chericoco, as their ‘Okuntu, our own’. The colourful declaration of Hon Bah by Limbas as their own at the occasion of the official inauguration of the Western Area Limba Sub-Tribal Heads at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium, Cline Town East of Freetown. The declaration of him as a true Limba son reaffirmed Hon Chericoco’s growing reputation and popularity as a unifying force whose influence cuts across ethnicity, religions, social and political status.
Hon Chericoco among other things was hailed by Limba people who described him as their own. Formed part of the celebrations of the Limba culture, tradition and leadership the colourful event was hosted at It drew guests, participants, celebrants and well-wishers from across Freetown and beyond.
