The Head Coach of Luawa FC, Sebastian Bowles has Departed with Luawa FC on a Mutual consent.

According to a release from the management of Luawa FC, the informed the football world that Coach Bowles had left the club on a Mutual consent. “Luawa FC Football Club wishes to inform its numerous fans and the football community that Coach Sebastian Bowles has left the club by mutual consent,” it stated.

They noted that Coach Seb, as he is affectionately known, had been with us for eight months and has made significant contributions to the club’s transformation during his tenure.

It continued that, Unfortunately, due to safety concerns following an assault he experienced and despite all efforts to reassure his family of his security, Coach Seb and his family feel it is no longer safe for him to remain with the club.

It could be recalled that Kholifa Stars FC thrashed Luawa FC by 4:0 at the Makeni Wusum Field in the 2nd round of the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.

This particular match was anticipated to be a crucial match for both teams especially to the side of Kholifa Stars who are fighting hard to move away from Relegation zone, but at the end they Defeated Luawa FC by 4:0.

After the heavy defeat from the team in the bottom of the league, Luawa FC Head coach Sebastian Bowels noted that the referring was poor in the match vs Kholifa Stars, adding that he had been saying that for many time the referees in this league need to raise their standards otherwise this league will not go forward.

It doesn’t matter how good the pitch is if the refereeing standards is poor, these guys shouldn’t be even refereeing division 2, community leagues is where they belong not a PremierLeague match,” former Luawa FC coach stated.

Before his departure as the Head coach, the team have fail to win all six matches they had played so far in the second phase of the Leone Rock Premier League so far, they have lost three and drew three; they had a 1:1 draw with Real Republicans. They also lost 2:0 to Wusum Stars, they also had a 1:1 draw against Bhantal FC. Another 1:1 draw again against Freetown City FC. They lost to Lamboi FC 3:1 and they have lost to bottom place Kholifa Stars by 4 goals to nil.

However, these poor run of form made some fans speculated that it’s the reason for his departure.

The club however expressed it thanks and appreciate to coach seb for his Time at Luawa FC. “We want to express our gratitude to Coach Seb for his time with us and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” they noted.

It added that Coach Seb would always be a part of their history as they build a unique football development program in Sierra Leone.

Meanwhile, they informed their fans that Coach Sillah will be their Coach for the main time.  “Coach Sillah, who was, until now, Assistant Coach, will take over the reign of the Club,” they confirmed.
