Following the shutting down of Conex Grafton gas station and Lungi Service Station for allegedly selling fuel above the government recommended price which the Director of License and Inspection at PRA, Jayah Muana, confirmed that Conex Grafton’s actions constituted a breached of the agency’s regulations, the Conex Management has in a press release dated 27 May 2024 vehemently condemned the behaviors of their station dealers noting that such acts is not reflective of their core values and standards.

“The management of Conex Energy (SL) Limited strongly and vehemently condemns such behavior which is not reflective of our core values and standards,” part of the press release stated.

It continued that, they place a very strong premium on good customer service and customer satisfaction, and regularly conduct training session for all their station staff Nationwide. They are therefore extremely shock and disappointed at the behavior of those two stations staff at Grafton and Lungi.

The release furthered that, the Station attendants working at filling stations were directly employed by their dealers who are charged with the responsibility of managing those stations in line with Conex core values and standards.  Conex management had reached out to the two station dealers concerned and they have both confirmed that they will terminate the services of the two employees with immediate effects.

It admitted that, The management of Conex Energy (SL) Limited assured all its valued customers and stakeholders that they would continue to uphold the values and standards for which Conex Energy (SL) Limited was known and admired for.
