“Guys, I was reading the Independent Observer newspaper when I heard someone knocking on the front door. I observed and listened keenly to the unknown personThen I heard a lady’s voice. Is Mr. Karim-Sei in? The lady responded “Karim, its Hawa Moseray from upabove. Please open the door.”
Karim stood up and looked at the far end on his right before he saw Paul Abu Mansaray who was playing with his cell phone.
Karim said, “Paul, when did you arrive here? I never knew you were around.”
Paul smiled, looked keenly at Karim before he said, “but Karim, here’s downbelow, people pay visits without any prior notice. Do you think you’re still upabove? I heard someone knocking on your door and I thought he was Phillip Neville but the person’s voice sounded like a lady. Did Phillip Neville visit you as you last informed me?”
Karim responded, “no, no, not yet. He most times missed the way to my house but I don’t know how you always surprises me here. But Karim, lots of Journalists from upabove have arrived including Joseph Vandy, your Kenema brother who was with Sulaiman Massaquoi at the New Vision.”
“I see”, Karim-Sei nodded his head and continued, “okay, let me open the door for Hawa so that we can talk about our colleagues, especially Phillip.”
As Karim-Sie opened the door, Sylvanus Kargbo, Isata Jabbie, Amadu C. Koroma, Osman Ben Kargbo, Jon Z. Foray, Mohamed Mansaray, Patricia Ganda and Gbondoma Gbondo entered abruptly.
Hawa Moseray was surprised as all of a sudden, they shouted in unison, “welcome, welcome, welcome from Upabove State House in Freetown.”
Gbondima smiled before he turned to Hawa Moseray and remarked, “Hawa, how is Maada Bio and the SLPP government doing?”
Karim Sei informed, “members of the fourth estate, I am really surprised and at the same time happy to see you all here. I never knew Hawa Moseray was here with such a large following. First of all, Paul Abu Mansaray is seated at the far end of the living room. He is browsing at his cellphone although he does not still know how to use it properly. But wait a minute guys, Hawa, where is Philip Neville?”
“Members of the fourth estate”, Karim- Sei called the attention of his colleagues, “can you all please be seated. There is food and drinks on the right and everybody is invited to serve him/herself after which we can discuss topical issues upabove. Please be reminded that we have some of our senior colleagues from State House here.” Also, Gbondima Gbondo is so happy to know about the SLPP, especially now that the New Year has commenced as I was made to understand.”
Paul Abu Mansaray was still busy fidgeting with his phone when he saw Amadu C. Koroma, smiled and said, “ACK, good to see you.”
Karim observed that he has still not seen Phillip Neville even though he is downbelow where you don’t know whether it is morning, afternoon or night.
Karim continued, “Hawa Moseray brought lots of tidings from upabove and I know she will tell us a lot about latest developments upabove. But you know, I will never forget January 6. Do you remember Jay six?”
Amadu C. Koroma nodded his head and responded “oh yes. In fact, Jay six was observed only few days ago.”
While the journalists were having fun, Sylvanus Kargbo and Isata Jabbie were reading newspapers when suddenly, Hon. Frank Kposowa and Philip Neville materialized and everybody shouted “Philo, Philo, Philo. Oba, Oba, Oba.”
