Port Loko City, Saturday, 22nd November 2025: The All People’s Congress (APC) party’s charismatic, presumptive flag bearer, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, has received a loud and heroic welcome upon his arrival in Port Loko, where he is set to grace the auspicious turning of the sod ceremony for the expansion and refurbishment of the historic Bai Bureh Hall.
A massive crowd lined the streets as Dr. Bangura’s long motorcade snaked its way through the city, beginning from the Old Maforki Junction, flowing along the Old Port Loko Road, and culminating at the APC party office. Supporters chanted, waved flags, and celebrated his entry with unmatched enthusiasm, underscoring the growing momentum behind his bid.
His visit comes just weeks after he contributed Le 500 million, through the APC National Executive, towards the Bai Bureh Hall expansion and refurbishment project; a gesture widely praised as a testament to his commitment to party development, historical preservation, and grassroots empowerment.
The Bai Bureh Hall initiative aims to modernise and restore one of Port Loko’s most cherished political and cultural landmarks, and Dr. Bangura’s presence reinforces his dedication to strengthening the APC’s legacy and future vision.
