In a heartwarming gesture of generosity and solidarity, Dr. Kaifala Marah, a prominent figure and philanthropist known for his commitment to community development, donated over 500 bags of rice and 200 bags of sugar to the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party.

This donation, made March 6, 2025, aims to support both Muslim and Christian members of the party during the holy months of Ramadan and Lent, offering much-needed relief to families across Sierra Leone.

Dr. Marah’s donation is set to benefit not only members in Freetown but also extend across the country’s various regions, districts, constituencies, and wards. This comprehensive distribution ensures that members from all walks of life will receive support during these sacred periods of fasting, reflection, and spiritual devotion.

The donation was formally received by senior APC leaders, including the Deputy National Chairman, Ambassador Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh; and the APC National Secretary-General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq. Both leaders expressed deep appreciation for Dr. Marah’s timely and selfless contribution, noting that it came at a crucial time when many families are facing economic hardship during the religious seasons.

“On behalf of the party, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kaifala Marah for this remarkable gesture,” Ambassador Yansaneh said during the handing-over ceremony. “This donation is a testament to his commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind, especially during these holy months of fasting and prayer. It is a true reflection of the values we uphold in the APC party.”

Lansana Dumbuya Esq. also praised Dr. Marah’s generosity, emphasizing that such contributions strengthen the fabric of the party and build goodwill among its members. “We are grateful to Dr. Marah for his continuous support and for showing through this donation that he truly cares for the welfare of APC members and Sierra Leoneans at large,” Dumbuya added.

Dr. Kaifala Marah, in his remarks, expressed that the act of giving is a shared responsibility, particularly during times when people are called to reflect, fast, and pray.

He mentioned that his goal is to alleviate the challenges faced by families during such difficult times. “It is important that we come together as a community, irrespective of our religious affiliations, to support one another during Ramadan and Lent. May this contribution ease the burdens faced by families, and may it bring peace, unity, and prosperity to our nation,” Dr. Marah said.

His donation was not just a material contribution but also a symbol of his broader vision of national unity and welfare. Dr. Marah’s efforts to provide essential food items like rice and sugar are critical in helping APC members prepare for the holy periods of fasting and reflection, during which the need for food and basic necessities becomes even more pronounced.

The donation also aligns with Dr. Marah’s ongoing vision of “Leaving No One Behind,” a principle he has repeatedly emphasized in his public and private life.

His philanthropic actions highlight his unwavering dedication to supporting marginalized and vulnerable communities across Sierra Leone, and his belief that every citizen should have access to basic needs, regardless of their circumstances.

The APC, as a political party, has long been committed to the well-being of Sierra Leoneans, and Dr. Marah’s support underscores this commitment, particularly in times of religious observance when the need for collective support is paramount.

As Ramadan and Lent progress, the beneficiaries of Dr. Marah’s generous contribution will be able to observe the sacred months with greater peace of mind, knowing that they have the support of a leader who genuinely cares about their welfare.

His donation serves as an example of how acts of kindness can foster unity and create positive change in the lives of everyday citizens.
