Apart from the team he dispatched to the South-East, North-West and a team he assigned to the Western Area Urban and Rural, APC Dr Richard Konteh is in his home district of Bombali to assist in the second phase of registration process. Since his arrival in Makeni, he has been very busy engaging party stalwarts to take this registration very seriously.
In his home district of Bombali, Dr Richard Konteh initial step was to summon both the Makeni City Council Councilors and the Bombali District Councilors to a meeting at his residence in Makeni. In that meeting, he emphasized the importance of the role of councilors in the voter registration exercise and therefore admonished them to reach out to their different wards and encourage our people to register.
As a way of motivation, Dr Richard Konteh visited the APC district head office in Makeni and provided them with the necessary support to expedite the registration process in the Bombali District. He provided the office with both material aid financial supports and also informed the office about his readiness to make available his two vehicles should they intend to move around the district.
Notwithstanding, D-Unifier on Wednesday 7th September joined force with Hon. John Charles to tour constituency 31 comprising three chiefdoms in the Bombali District. Addressing registrants in the three chiefdom headquarters, D-Unifier pleaded with Paramount Chiefs to effectively use their town heads to make sure that every adult from age 18 and above in every town and village register with a proof of registration slip. He promised to give a prize to any section within a chiefdom and as well as any chiefdom that takes the lead in the ongoing voter registration. “The moment you register, the more you have additional constituencies and consequently more MPs”, he added.
