The Harbour Police Division conducted a targeted operation on Tuesday, June 17, at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium, resulting in the arrest of Mohamed Serry and the recovery of suspected cannabis.
Led by ASP Francis M. Tommy, the police team responded to intelligence reports indicating that the stadium and its environs were being used for illegal drug activities. During a thorough sweep of the area, officers discovered several packages of dried leaves concealed within the makeshift structure of the suspect’s premises.
In a follow-up action on Wednesday, June 18, the police dismantled the structure to disrupt ongoing illicit activities and deter potential drug dealers from operating in the area. The seized dried leaves, believed to be Cannabis Sativa, have been secured for forensic analysis, while investigations into unlawful possession and distribution are ongoing.
The Harbour Police reaffirm their commitment to maintaining peace and order, urging the public to continue providing credible information to combat drug abuse and related crimes in the community.
