East End Lions FC has secured a maximum of three points in the Premier league without kicking a ball.
The Killers have grabbed all three points in their match against visitors Kahunla Rangers FC without Kicking a ball on Sunday 12 May 2024.
Visitors Kahunla Rangers FC failed to honour the fixture as planned at 4:30 pm in a match that supposed to take place at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy in Kingtom.
According to sources the visitors failed to depart early to honour the all important fixture against the Killers, East End Lions FC.
Kahunla are one point above the drop zone in the 2023/24 Leone Rock Premier League (LRPL) with 22 points after 24 matches.
Their match against the Killers today could have been their 25th and gaining maximum points could have placed them in a better position above Bai Bureh Warriors who are 16th in the table.
This three points for East End Lions have made them to move to 4th place in the table with 40 points.
This marks the first instance this season of a team boycotting a league match, with the last occurrence being Lamboi FC’s boycott against East End Tigers at the Trade Center playing field last season.
