East End Lions Ghanian head coach, Isaac Kofi Sarfo Castro has departed the club after end to his one year contract with the country’s most decorated football club.
The former Heart of Lions, Bibiani Goldstars, Legon Cities, Basake Holy Stars, Berekum Chelsea, Wa All Stars, and AshGold coach Sarfo Castro took over the hot seat from Raymond Girald Hunter who was serving in a caretaker role following the sacking of coach Charlie Wright with the club in 17th position after 8 matches, The Killers however ended the season in 6th position.
The Ghanian international Sarfo Castro guided The Killers to their first major league final in the FA Cup setting an intense rivalry with the champions of Sierra Leone Bo Rangers in the second tier of Sierra Leone club football competition since the club’s last league triumph in the Sierra Leone Premier League in 2019.
Coach Sarfo Castro as well qualified the team to the CAF Confederation Cup the second tier of CAF inter club competition for the first since East End Lions last participated in the CAF Champions League preliminary round qualifiers in 2015.
