Following the 1:0 defeat of East End Lions to Port Authority Football Club at the Attouga Mini Stadium, East End Lions Football Club has in a press released informed the public that they have pathways with their Head Coach Charlie Wright by mutual consent.
According to the release, they informed the public that after thorough discussions between the club’s management and Coach Wright, both parties had agreed that a change in leadership is necessary to propel the team toward its goals for the season.
It continued that their assistant Coach Raymond Gerard Hunter would take over as interim head coach, adding that his familiarity with the team and extensive experience would provide stability during their transition. The club expressed sincere gratitude to Coach Wright for his hard work and commitment and wishes him every success in his future endeavor.
East End Lions is currently in the 10th position with 8 points after 7 matches played so far. They have won just 1 match, lost 1 and draw 5 matches in their opening 7 matches in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
