All members of the Council of Elders of the All People’s Congress (APC) party are hereby invited to attend an urgent meeting on Thursday, 26th February 2026 at the APC party Headquarters, 12 noon, for the purpose of addressing matters relating to the just concluded WARD elections, and other matters related to the maintenance of peace and unity within the party.
Council will develop advisory notes for the attention of the APC national executive and National Advisory Committee (NAC) of the party.
The advisory notes to be compiled by the Elders Council will clearly spell out some of the concerns of the party members, concerns which ought to be urgently addressed.
Furthermore, the Elders Council members hold the view that the Thursday meeting will also be used as an important forum to discuss the great need to ensure that the elections now being conducted remain transparent and credible, especially at a time when the party continues to express concern about the need to promote credible electoral practices.
The Thursday meeting will also emphasize the general membership of our glorious party and continue to utilize the party structures in seeking redress, instead of exposing the party to the dictates of institutions such as the PPRC.
The proposed emergency meeting will also develop an advisory note to the national executive about the need to encourage all flagbearer aspirants to exhibit the necessary comradeship that would enhance the unity of the party.
The lessons learnt after the just concluded ward elections should also serve as a credible vehicle for the conduct of future intra-party elections.
Council congratulates the APC executive and IEMC for conducting the recent WARD elections, notwithstanding challenges experienced in a few of the wards.As the APC forges towards victory in 2028, it should also be stated that members of our glorious party should always be seen as citizens who abide by the laws of Sierra Leone and the constitution of the APC party.
The advisory notes compiled after the Thursday meeting will be circulated to other arms of the party.
All members of the Council of Elders are encouraged to attend this very important meeting.
